I headed out to Chicago in June for the Printer’s Row Lit Fest. It’s something I’d been planning on attending for around five years now, but timing never worked out. This year, however, my schedule and vacation days lined up, and I was on my way to the Windy City.
I have family in Chicago, and my uncle graciously agreed to both host and attend the event with me. (He’s a big reader, so it really wasn’t too much of an inconvenience … unless you ask him.)
While in Chicago, I took the time to see some of the sights (like the architecture and a few of the tourist attractions) and, of course, sample the food. Mm … Chicago-style pizza. And I also got to hang out and run around the city with my uncle, whom I see rarely enough that it’s nice to get an entire weekend.
